Our BERNINA and BERNINA "JUNIOR" - our first Dressage saddle for young riders - find a perfect niche between our line featuring the revolutionary E-Motion system and the traditional line built on our "Federbaum" spring tree.

The E-MOTION spring tree is designed for the horses physique and always conforms to the true shoulder angles. This enhances the performance, as the horse is able to more freely use its full range of motion.

The hand flocked gusseted WOOL PANELS with a wide and deep channel distribute the weight evenly and eliminate pressure points. This allows the horse to work from behind and through his back to achieve the desired rounded outline.

For the BERNINAS, we use the very finest, full grain leather, soft and supple to the touch. Exceptional durability, long a Courbette trademark, is therefore guaranteed. The supportive deep seat with a narrow twist affords the ultimate comfort and balance, and facilitates a smooth transition to the flaps.

Anatomically sculpted thigh blocks offer security and support a proper sitting position. Our new stabilizing billet strap design prevents saddle slippage.

If you wonder where the name Bernina came from, here it is...

Bernina is the name of a majestic mountain massif with glaciated peaks in the Swiss Alps. It is also one of Europes most important mountain passes, connecting Switzerland and Italy. This pass is near our Swiss Headquarters, and the name blends in with our saddles Alpina, Cresta, Arosa (a resort town near our factory) and Optima.
